Collecting Pokémon Cards/Collectors Guide

With the recent trend of influencers and famous people getting on the Pokémon hype. It’s caused a massive wave of new and returning Pokémon collectors. Though the prices have risen due to scalpers and popularity for Pokémon. However the prices have slowly stabilized and new series continue to be released. So here are some tips you could use to help start your collecting journey.

Collectors Guide

Pokémon Blister Packs - 3 Packs

Pokémon Tins - 4 Packs

Pokémon V Box - 4 Packs

Pokémon Elite Trainer Box (ETB) - 8 Packs

Pokémon Collection Box/Misc. Box - 6 to 10 Packs

Pokémon Booster Box - 32 Packs

Pokémon Theme Decks - Premade deck

*In terms of sought after items, it would be Booster Box, Elite Trainer Box, Collection Box, V Box, Tins, Blister Packs*

(This is my personal priority list)

*This isn’t financial advice*

But I’ve personally had ETB and Collection Boxes kept on hold for a long time. Because ETB have a lot of value in some sets (promo cards or desirable chase cards). However booster boxes are also a good investment, depending on how good the set is (make sure to look at the card list in the set). Anything else isn't really going to be as valuable compared to others.

In terms of rarity:

After doing your own research, it’s important to make a budget for yourself. Whether you want to make Pokémon, your hobby or just collecting for fun. Getting into Pokémon can lead to an addiction and you also want to look at the market prices. Some card stores and online stores charge more than market price!
